Provencher_Roy
Provencher_Roy is a major partner of the 36th edition of the International Festival of Films on Art, or FIFA, to be held March 8 to 18 in Montreal and March 14 to 18 in Quebec City.
FIFA 2018 gets underway this Thursday, March 8, and Provencher_Roy is proud to once again be associated with an event that presents the world's finest media arts and films about art. This 36th edition promises to be “an eclectic journey through the heart of artistic creation,” and will have music as its theme, with special guests Mathieu Amalric and Kent Nagano.
Programming
FIFA explores several art-related themes sure to delight audiences. “Quality attracts quality,” says FIFA's Director of Programming, Anita Hugi. “Never before have we seen such a wealth of high-calibre submissions—an astounding 600 in all. Bold achievements, new perspectives, original themes all await, as you will discover for yourself at FIFA's venues.”

Alongside the movie screenings, Provencher_Roy will invite students enrolled in the urban planning programs of the Université de Montréal, UQAM and McGill to a private screening of the film Le Louvre Abu Dhabi, création d’un musée universel, directed by Patrick Ladoucette. This event will be followed by a discussion between professors from the three universities, the students, and Eugenio Carelli and Nicolas Demers-Stoddart, two partners at Provencher_Roy.
“We are overjoyed this year to offer students an exclusive screening of the film Le Louvre Abu Dhabi, création d’un musée universel. This event allows us to champion two causes dear to our hearts: the valorization of creation and the promotion of education, both of which Provencher_Roy has been committed to since its inception. We believe it is crucial to support the arts community, and our partnership with FIFA is in keeping with this conviction,” explains Lucie Bouthillette, partner and VP Marketing, Communications and Business Development at Provencher_Roy.
In conjunction with the screenings, a number of special events will be held all throughout the festival. For full details on programming and activities, visit the FIFA Web site at artfifa.com/en .
